We work with schools in 2 ways: aid those who manage lessons on behalf of their parents, or facilitate all aspects of lesson bookings by dealing with parents directly.
Indirect
School Managed Provision
Most schools will manage music lessons for their pupils themselves. We work with all our schools closely and provide those who market and administer the lessons themselves with all the marketing material, letter templates and more; to ensure they can manage their pupil’s music lessons with ease.
Many schools will have existing mechanisms in place for managing bookings and payments from their parents, whether it be for school dinners, or class trips. Our music lesson packages are simply defined and can fit into any existing mechanism your school may have in place.
Your school receives the bookings and payments for music lessons, let us know how many hours tuition you want for which instrument, and we take care of the rest. DMC Managed Provision
We understand that all schools are facing their own unique set of challenges. Here at DMC, we want to ensure that all pupils across the county have access to quality music provision, even where schools are facing difficult decisions or may be unable to administer the lessons.
We are able to offer any schools that need it an administration package, taking on all administration of music lesson provision, by handling all bookings, enquiries and payments from parents.
We have a bespoke system in place called Opus, which acts as an online portal for your parents, where they can book music lessons, keep track of and pay invoices, and review all communications from us about their child’s music lessons. What’s more, this system can provide you with access to view any bookings coming in from your school and keep an eye on their status in real time.

Opus System
Opus provides parents with a one-stop-shop where they can book music lessons in any enrolled school, as well as somewhere to book ensemble membership, or additional services such as places on summer courses, exam visits, etc. Opus handles more than just bookings, it provides parents with a 24-hour platform to view and pay invoices, review communications from us about their child’s music lessons, and manage all other aspects of our services with ease.
Opus isn’t just for parents. The online platform facilitates transparency and communication between our office and your school office. Schools can access our Opus platform to view any bookings coming in from their parents, or can book tutors hours if administering music lessons in-house.

What To Expect
Central Contact
Our office is your central point of contact, providing someone you can call or e-mail with any query regarding music lessons, or tutors coming into your school.
Assured Compliance
All our tutors are required to have valid DBS certificates and undergo regular safeguarding and child protection training. This provides you with the assurance that your pupils are in safe hands.
COVID-Safe Practices
All our tutors have undergone COVID aware training, and have not only the training, but the equipment in place to deliver music lessons in your school as safely as possible.
Access to Resources
We offer all our schools access to a School’s Services portal, filled with marketing materials, templates for letters to parents, etc – taking the leg work out of administering music lessons in your school.
Access to Instruments
We work closely with the local authority, and as such are responsible for all county-owned instruments. Any of your pupils having lessons with us are automatically entitled access to a musical instrument from county stock, to take home and practice with.
Access to Other Services
